Things aren’t going like you planned? Shrug it off, everything will be ok! TSNMI Mob’s Maurice Moore does just that on his new offering, “C’est La Vie” (French for “that’s life”).
This song will absolutely uplift your spirits as Moore brings up less-than-ideal situations, but he carries on with life with the best intentions in mind.
“It’s your Monday morning anthem, alarm clock throwin’ tantrums / Ketchup stain on your new shirt, but that’s life ish happens / Homeless man with his hands out, I’d give you some if I had some / Some days I’m not happy with my life, but those the cards that I was dealt with … C’est La Vie,” he confidently sings.
“Everybody has those periods of time in life where nothing works in our favor and we feel the universe works against us,” Moore wrote in an email to The FADER. “Writing this song was so easy for me because I was writing from a place of 100% honesty and channeling things that have happened in my own life. For anybody going through anything, understand that you are not alone. The bad things that happen to us don’t happen because we are bad people, they just happen to us because those are the ups and downs of life.”
Produced by Grammy/Emmy nominated producers, Rice N’ Peas (G-Eazy, Cody Simpson, YMCMB), “C’est La Vie” is the first release off the 19-year old Canadian’s debut mixtape Amber Room, which is slated to be released in the first quarter of 2017.
