Last time we heard from Oakland’s Adrian Marcel was back in February on his Wale-assisted banger, “WAM.”
Now he’s back with another banger called “Don’t Wake Up” (produced by MookBeatz, Jupiter Dylan, and Adrian Marcel). Using a sample of Christopher Williams’ 1991 hit “I’m Dreamin,” Marcel sings to a woman with promises of treating her better than her last man.
“All the thing you need I give to you, I finally got you here,” he sings
The song is written by Jane Handcock, a fellow Bay Area singer-songwriter who released her debut mixtape earlier this year.
“Don’t Wake Up” is from his anticipated forthcoming project #GMFU (Got Me F$&@ Up).
