Keyshia Cole has hit another milestone with her hit BET reality series ‘The Way It Is’ however, with success comes criticism. Taking aim at her ‘reality’ critics, “The Different Me” singer explains the reason why she chose to produce the show in the latest issue of Upscale. “As far as the TV show is concerned, the reason why I originally did it was so that young people can see that what you come from…you can overcome adversity if you been through that, or whatever you been through, you can overcome it.” According to Nielsen Media Research, BET’s ‘Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is’ became the network’s most watched original series season premiere of all time. Just over 1.9 million viewers tuned in to watch the season premiere and its second episode. According to the YBF, Cole appears in the December/January issue of Upscale Magazine. Keyshia Cole’s new album “A Different Me” is due in stores Dec. 16, ‘The Way It Is’ airs on BET Tuesday’s at 10pm ET.
