Last month, Brooklyn crooner Kojo Stone dropped off his debut single “Prove That.” Now he’s back with the video, and Singersroom has the premiere!
The video shows Kojo taking the brunt of his woman’s aggression; he’s almost ready to give up, but he continues to sing about how much he tries to please his lady. “How many times I gotta prove that I love you?” he asks on the chorus.
Smooth as butta!
About the concept of the song, Kojo explains:
“There is something greatly artistic in being able to convey a message or an emotion with simplicity. ‘Prove That’ is very simple, the lyrics ask how many times do I have to prove that I love you? I just wanted to capture that frustration from the male perspective. There’s nothing worst then when you are doing your best but still dealing with the constant bickering from your woman. It all boils down to trust, and sometimes our past won’t allow us to trust anyone completely, so how many times I gotta prove that I love?”
Kojo signed with I.T.I.S Entertainment in February of 2015 and has since begun building a solid reputation as an entertainer and artist. He has performed at popular venues such as Santos Party House, Shrine World Music Venue, and Fat Baby.
