R&B crooner Calvin Richardson premieres an intimate and sensual music video for his latest single, "We Gon' Love Tonite," a song co-written by Eric Benet, which showcases the singer-songwriter's soulful delivery and hypnotic sound.
In the accompanying black & white visuals, Richardson turns up the heat with his sexy co-star as they take a romantic trip away from civilization.
"I had a lot of fun doing it, I couldn't think of any other way to do it," Calvin told Singersroom about shooting the music video with his sexy co-star. "She made it fun."
He adds: "I just really wanted the video to play out the words of the song, and the Director was able to listen to the song and see the vision. It's a sexy song, and I think tastefully, it was properly done."
Calvin also spoke briefly about his forthcoming album, I Am Calvin.
"There is an element of grown and sexy that I try to keep in all of the songs that are coming out… the sexy side of a relationship, but I have a song on the album called the "Dark Side of Love," and this album kind of deals with that. When you're grown and you're dealing with relationships, it ain't always peaches and cream. At the end of the day, how you deal with it determines the outcome of the relationship. So, the songs on this project are not all ballads like "We Gon' Love Tonite," we have some different tempos you can have fun with," he says.
I Am Calvin is due in stores September 30th.
