Grammy Award-winning R&B singer Michelle Williams has a lot to celebrate, her first single âWe Break The Dawnâ featuring Flo Rida rocketed straight to the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart this week just a couple weeks before the release of her highly anticipated album âUnexpected.â Williams, one-third of the chart topping group Destinyâs Child, released âWe Break The Dawnâ earlier this year accompanied by a video for the single with noted British director Phil Griffin (Amy Winehouse, Prince). Produced by Wayne Wilkins and Andrew Frampton, who co-wrote the track with the singer/songwriter Solange Knowles the single is the first taste of whatâs expected on her new album. Titled âUnexpected,â Williamsâ long-awaited third album, however, first pop/R&B project since 2004’s gospel hit album âDo You Knowâ features a collection of contemporary pop/dance classics including the second single âStop This Car,â produced by Stargate. Williams also teamed up with Jim Jonsin (Jamie Foxx, Sean Paul), Rico Love (Usher, Omarion), and Matthew Knowles on her upcoming release. Unexpected hits stores August 12th !
