R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo picked up the award for Best Male Video at Japanâs MTV Video Music Awards over the weekend. The âCloserâ singer won for his 2007 video âBecause of You,â later sharing honors with Fergie who won Best Female Video for âBig Girls Donât Cryâ at the ceremony attended by Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton, Flo Rida and more. The event, which was held at Japan’s Saitama Super Arena, also honored several of Japan’s hottest acts. According to Contact Music, Best Group Video went to Japanese rockers Yoshika + Lisa for Love Comes And Goes, while singer Hata Motohiro won Best New Artist of the Year for Uroko.
