After a short hiatus, Keyshia Cole is back, and in a much happier place. During the time off, the singer focused on motherhood and marriage to NBA player Daniel Gibson. In doing so, the singer has found a sense of peace.

The single “I Had Enough of No Love” tells of a strong woman who is fed up with a relationship where she isn’t appreciated. But don’t confuse the sorrow-filled songs on Cole’s upcoming album “Woman to Woman” as a true reflection of where the singer is in her life. Cole told Essence Magazine, “I’m in a happy place now. However, some of my fans are not. So I brought on a bunch of writers this time around… obviously I’m not in that place to write those kinds of songs.” She continues, “I think that I’ve grown vocally and I think a lot of the songs are touching to me.”

Even “Family First,” the upcoming reality show that will show her husband, son, and mother Frankie won’t be like the “The Way It Is,” her prior reality show. “It’s just a different view of me and what I’ve been through,” she said. “You won’t see Neffe on the show. However, I wish you would have.”

In related news, Cole performed “I Had Enough of No Love” for the first time at the Essence Music Festival in early July (see below). Cole commanded the stage in an all-white shorts ensemble as she belted the tune minus guest Lil Wayne.

Both her album “Woman to Woman” and show “Family First” are set to premier this fall.

Keyshia Cole has been an iconic figure in R&B music since her debut album, The Way It Is, came out over a decade ago. Now the singer is back with new music and says it reflects a much happier place than her previous work. Fans of Keyshia’s signature sound will be pleased to hear that she hasn’t changed too drastically; instead she brings something uplifting and familiar to the table. Her latest release celebrates joyous moments and serves as a reminder for us all to appreciate life’s simple pleasures. Let’s take a look at what Keyshia Cole has said about her newest project — one that fans have been eagerly awaiting!

Background Information

Keyshia Cole is an American singer and songwriter who has achieved success in both the R&B and hip-hop genres. In 2020, she released her eighth studio album, 11:11 Reset, which was well-received by both fans and critics alike. Now, she’s looking to keep up that momentum with new music that reflects a happier place for her.

Cole recently opened up about this musical shift in an interview on Good Morning America, saying “I’m trying to get back into making more positive content.” She went on to explain how this newfound positivity has been reflected in her recent releases such as “You Complete Me” featuring Remy Ma and “Do That…For Love” featuring T.I., tracks where she sings of overcoming heartache and finding joy again.

This newfound perspective has allowed Keyshia Cole to take a different approach when it comes to creating music. Her focus now isn’t just on producing hit singles, but also on spreading good vibes through her work — something we can all look forward to hearing from her in the future!

Creative Process Behind New Music

The creative process behind Keyshia Cole’s new music has been one of self-reflection and growth. As she put it in her Good Morning America interview, “I just think that I got to a point where I had to take some time for myself, reflect on things…and find out who I was again”. This inner journey allowed her to tap into the emotions and stories that would later become part of her latest work.

As for how this transformation is being heard through music, Cole explains that she wanted each track to have its own unique message. For example, with “You Complete Me” featuring Remy Ma, she aimed to express what it feels like when two people come together as a unit — something that can be seen as strength coming after hardship. Similarly, with T.I.’s collaboration on “Do That…For Love”, the goal was to spread love by encouraging listeners to stay true to themselves no matter what life brings them.

These messages are ones that many of us need right now more than ever before — words of resilience and hope set against uplifting beats and melodies. With these pieces acting as reminders of our capacity for joy despite difficult times, Keyshia Cole has certainly delivered in spades!

Conclusion

In conclusion, Keyshia Cole is back with new music that reflects her newfound happiness. She credits the creative process for allowing her to express her emotions in a positive way and explore ideas she hadn’t considered before. Her fans have been eagerly awaiting this collection of songs, as they’ve seen how happy she’s been lately.

It’s clear that having an outlet to share her feelings has helped Keyshia reach a more content place in life. Through creating music, she was able to discover what really matters most to her and prioritize it above all else. It truly shows how powerful art can be when used as a tool for self-discovery and growth.

With the release of these tracks, Keyshia Cole has brought joy into our lives – not only through the melodies we hear but also through the messages shared within them. We are so excited to see where she goes next musically and personally!
