Friends and family of late R&B singer Gerald Levert are in shock over a fire that officials say destroyed his Ohio estate over the weekend. Officially declared a “total loss” Sunday, sources say the home was “fully involved” when firefighters arrived on scene Saturday, April 17. Geauga County Sheriffâs Office say the home, which was vacant at the time, and its 8.93 acres was appraised at $510,000. Levert, son of OâJays singer Eddie Levert, bought the house in April 1994 and died there at the age of 40 in 2006. Officials are investigating the blaze with the State Fire Marshalâs office.
