The role out of music from newly independent R&B songstress Keyshia Cole continues. The Oakland, CA singer-songwriter follows up her recently released single, "Don't Waste My Time," featuring rapper Young Thug, with a remix of Drake's "Hotline Bling."
On the triumphant offering, Cole makes a stand for women while sharing her displeasure on broken love.
"Ever since I left the crib, you started feeling sorry for yourself now / It's crazy how you had me feeling left out / And everybody knows you left me stressed out," Cole sings.
"Much respect to @champagnepapi, but this one is for the ladies," wrote Cole after dropping the track.
Now on her own, Cole promised to be more involved in her craft. "I'm excited about this journey, and who I’m becoming, and getting more involved in my work," Cole told TGJ. She also admitted that she wants to get back to the early part of her career, where her music had a certain swagger. "I wanna be caught up in myself again, I wanna be focus, I wanna be that girl," she says.
