Alex Boyd's control of the the depth and volume of his voice allows him to be gentle yet firm. "I Wish I Knew" is an exercise of his skills as he draws the audience into the world he enjoyed prior to the discovery of his faults. The suave fluidity of the production by Carvin & Ivan is strong enough to cover Boyd's mistakes.

Boyd is in the studio working on songs for his debut album, he has already worked with Common, producers Carvin & Ivan ("Customer," Teachme," "Gone Already) and Andy Rose.
