2 Chainz, born Tauheed Epps, is an American rapper, songwriter, and media personality. He was born on September 12, 1977, in College Park, Georgia. 2 Chainz began his music career as one half of the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle, alongside childhood friend Dolla Boy. The duo gained recognition with their hit single “Duffle Bag Boy” featuring Lil Wayne in 2007.

In 2011, 2 Chainz decided to pursue a solo career and released his debut album “Based on a T.R.U. Story” in 2012, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The album featured hit singles such as “No Lie” featuring Drake and “Birthday Song” featuring Kanye West.

2 Chainz’s music style is characterized by his catchy hooks, trap beats, and his distinctive raspy voice. He often raps about his wealth, lavish lifestyle, and his experiences growing up in the south. 2 Chainz has released several successful albums and mixtapes, including “B.O.A.T.S.
