Kehlani continues her indulging collaborations, this time around she teams with Atlanta crooner 6LACK for the “RPG” music video.
According to Kehlani, the visual is “based onna true story & my favorite netflix show.” In the clip, she is seen roaming in a large glass box, similar to a greenhouse, which features several corded landline phones. Her collaborator also appears in his own box to deliver his thought-provoking lyrics. The two appear in the glass box together towards the end.
Kehlani welcomed her first child, daughter Adeya, last month. She is not working on her next studio album, which was inspired by her parents. “My next official album is a story. I’m telling stories I’ve never told,” she told Beats 1. “It’s my parents’ story articulated into mine, articulated into a gift for my daughter, so she knows where she comes from.”
