Multi-GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter and producer Charlie Puth drops the music video for his Kehlani assisted single, “Done For Me.” The funky and groovy single will appear on Puth’s forthcoming sophomore album, Voicenotes.
In the visual, directed by RJ Sanchez and Brendan Vaughn, the silky pop singer delivers his passionate lyrics in front of a mirror, while Kehlani turns up the heat by partaking in a bubble bath with her girl.
On “Done For Me,” both reflect on the numerous things they’ve done for their loved ones in their relationships.
“I lie for you baby/ I die for you baby/ Cry for you baby/ But tell me what you’ve done for me,” Charlie sings on the hook. Lani adds: “I won’t beg for your love, won’t say please / I won’t fall to the ground on my knees.”
“You know when you meet somebody and you just know that you’re going to be friends with them for a really, really long time?” Puth stated last month about the collaboration. “That was her when I met her. She’s just such a warm and outgoing person and just such a good distinct voice.”
In celebration of the upcoming album, VoiceNotes, Charlie will kick off “The Voicenotes Tour” on July 11th in Toronto at the Budweiser Stage. The singer will continue the 32-city tour with stops in Boston, New York, Cincinnati, Nashville and Tampa before wrapping things up in West Palm Beach, Florida on September 1st.
