Prolific singer and songwriter Stacy Barthe returns from her musical hiatus with the new single and music video, “Sober.”
“Sober” is raw and thought-provoking, and continues where Barthe left off when it comes to giving fans finely-calibrated art. In the accompanying music video, directed by Raquel Lee, the Grammy-nominated songstress puts the spotlight on her happiness, letting us all in on the love that’s been consuming her life.
“See I did it. but I never did it in love,” she sings, later adding, “You make me wanna be sober.” The lyrics hold true to Barthe’s personal experiences and struggles.
“Sober” follows Barthe’s 2016 EP, FKA Stacy Barthe, and looks to be from an upcoming project called ‘Love Life.’
Barthe’s resume includes songwriting for top artists like Rihanna, Katy Perry, and more.
