Funky fresh singer Megan Vice brings us classic 90s pop vibes with her new visuals for single, “Nobody Freakin.” Inspired by everything from disco, funk and glam rock to 90’s R&B and 2000’s future pop, Megan showcases her all-encompassing sound in one piece.
The New York native discovered her writing abilities early on in her career. Known for her tongue-in-cheek lyrics Megan is heard saying a few eargasmic lyrics in the new single. “Ain’t nobody freakin’ today…not your fool,” she sings.
The single is a slight ode to Janet Jackson’s 1986 hit, “Miss Jackson…If You’re Nasty” as Megan is heard saying, “Don’t call me if you’re nasty.”
Immersing herself in the 90’s flare Megan Vice teamed up with videographer Matt Sparks to create the dramatic colors, rewinding and various overlapping seen in the video.
“Nobody Freakin’ is about this guy I dated a while back who was just really, really fucking awful,” Megan describes. “A super pretentious social climber who couldn’t make it past two sentences without name dropping someone famous he was “friends” with. We had insane sexual chemistry + I was young and dumb, which is probably why I put up with a lot of the bullshit that I did, for as long as I did… But…after about a year of being made to feel worthless, I had a come-to-Jesus moment like: ‘Wait, hold up – I’m more than just a piece of ass. I’m not the problem, you’re the problem and pop music IS art and The Doors fucking suck!’”
Megan ditched the loser and wrong a song about him.
