Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, singer-songwriter Andreas Wijk is hanging up his modeling act to focus on his music. With the release of his new single “Liar,” Andreas introduces us to his electropop flare.
In the bittersweet tune, Andreas is vulnerable as he sings about a relationship and heartbreak. “When you say my name/ So sweet let it roll off your tongue/ Like it’s honey/ But I’m oversentimental, gotta let go/ Let’s be honest,” He sings.
As a previous model for luxury brands like YSL, Tommy Hilfiger, and Dolce & Gabanna, Wijk used his looks to grow his brand. With his vast artistry, he has worked with the likes of Lorde, Sabrina Carpenter, and Lana Del Rey.
In the accompanying Joel Hordegard co-directed video, Andreas got his first taste in the director’s chair.
“I had the chance to play every part in making my very first video,” he says. “I was the actor, singer, producer, editor, project leader, and director. I didn’t want anyone else to tell my story, so by doing everything I could really tell my truth behind Liar.”
