International music superstar Beyonce will return to the live stage in April for the Coachella music and arts festival in California.
To prepare for her headlining spot during the two-weekend event, the “Formation” hitmaker will be working on getting back in shape, which includes going vegan.
Bey, who has been wowing followers on social media the last few months with her gradual weight-loss, recently shared a photo on Instagram of an avocado dish.
“44 days until Coachella!! Vegan Time!!,” she captioned the shot, encouraging followers to check out her 22 Days Nutrition meal delivery plan, adding, “join me.” She also shared another snap of what seems to be her concert rehearsals.
The mother-of-three launched the 22 Days Nutrition plan with fitness trainer Marco Borges in 2015 after taking up the expert’s 22-day vegan challenge with her rap mogul husband Jay-Z in late 2013.
Here are three benefits of going vegan:
1) You can lower the risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes, two common chronic diseases. It’s widely acknowledged, even by major health organizations, that animal products rich in saturated fat and cholesterol are a major contributor to both heart disease and diabetes.
2) Get your weight down! Vegans are the only group of people who average a normal and healthy BMI. The overall calorie density of animal products leads to people overeating on them while we can load up our plates with potatoes and veggies and stay lean.
3) This is probably one of the better ones in that you are saving lives, which is never a bad thing. Happy animals are shown on cartons and packages while the reality is a lot more sinister. There’s really nothing humane about animal farming or taking someone else’s life.
