Five-time Grammy-winning R&B/Soul singer Lalah Hathaway will release her highly-anticipated eighth studio album, Honestly, on November 3, 2017.
‘Honestly’ is headed by the first single, “I Can’t Wait,” and the set invites listeners to the join Lalah on a personal journey that is intimate, disruptive, and honest.
“My approach has always been to find and write great stories, which was a driving factor behind the creation of honestly,” said Lalah. “This album is a collection of entirely new and original recordings that really express where I am at this moment in time.”
Fans can pre-order ‘Honestly’ ahead of its November 3 release date here. Fans who purchase the physical album at Target (both online and retail locations) will receive two additional songs: an acoustic version of “Change Ya Life” and a Teddy Riley remix of lead single “I Can’t Wait.”
Lalah will be debuting the album live at an exclusive release concert at the Highline Ballroom in New York City on Monday, November 13, 2017. Full details and ticketing information will be available soon.
‘Honestly’ will be released via a new distribution partnership with independent label Caroline.
“I’m so excited about partnering with Caroline to explore this part of my business,” Hathaway said. “The music is a given, now I’m looking forward to the entrepreneurial side of my music experience and presenting new music and new artists to the world.”
