The stars are aligned for R&B veteran Bobby V.
The Platinum-selling singer has inked a multi-million dollar recording agreement with The SRG-ILS Group/Universal Music Group with plans of dropping his first release through the new deal in early in 2018. The signing comes through a relationship with Bobby’s long time collaborator, producer Tim Kelley, who is now Head of A&R at SRG-ILS.
“I watched my parents work from very humble beginnings to make a life for me and my sister. They instilled the values of family, hard work and being passionate for all I do,” states Bobby V. “To get a chance to work with Tim again and show everyone what I am about is a true blessing.”
“It’s a blessing that Bobby is my first signing as Head of A&R at SRG-ILS,” Kelly added. “I’ve been a big brother in his career for years and we had major success with his debut album. Now we have unfinished business. It’s reunion time!”
“I am excited to be part of reuniting Tim Kelley and Bobby Valentino,” plugs Claude Villani, The SRG-ILS Group CEO. “Together they made some incredible music, and I know they are about to shock the music world again.”
Kelly produced Bobby’s eponymous debut album; the project went on to sell over 1 million copies landing at #1 on the Top R&B and #3 on the Billboard 200 charts.
