On the heels of announcing the title for her next solo studio album, which is called ‘Sex & Cigarettes,’ R&B/Soul legend Toni Braxton reveals the cover artwork for the lead single, “Deadwood.” In the black & white photo, the music veteran wears a black leotard and a black hat that covers her eyes while she sits on a half made bed.
According to Braxton, ‘Sex & Cigarettes’ will boast uncensored content, and from the single cover, we can only imagine raunchy “Deadwood” will be.
In a recent sit down with The Insider, Braxton says, “The new album comes out at the top of the year, and it’s called ‘Sex & Cigarettes.’ I feel like I’m older; I wanna say what I feel, I don’t wanna be censored.”
A music video has been shot, and Braxton says it will be a steamy one. “There’s this guy in the video who is super sexy,” she says. “I think we’re going to see a lot of him; he’s great eye candy.”
Braxton’s last album was 2014’s ‘Love, Marriage & Divorce’ with Babyface. Between time, she has been working on the Lifetime film, Fate Under Fire, which will premiere in 2018. Braxton plays Antoinette Tuff, the struggling single mom from Georgia who heroically averted a tragedy, saving hundreds of lives when she convinced a deranged gunman who stormed a Decatur, GA, elementary school in 2013 to surrender.
Faith Under Fire marks a return to Lifetime for Braxton, whose biopic Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart drew record ratings for the network.
