Bay Area crooner Cash Campain drops off his first release of 2017 titled “Daydream,” a smooth groove with a fun video to match.
“I’m crushin’ on a daydream,” he sings, inspired by The Temptations’ hit “Just My Imagination.”
“With my first single of 2017, I wanted to wake people up and remind them that I have a lot in store this year,” Cash explains. “This song is the 2017 version of “Just My Imagination” by the legendary Motown group The Temptations. I’m working on a lot of music right now, and during a recording session, I wondered what that song would sound like with some trap drums and bass…this is the result. I love taking a classic and giving it new life,” he said.
The video sees Cash mesmerized by a young beauty (Geneva Cimone), so much so that he walks into a pole which prompts their chance meeting, which turns into an impromptu day-date…or is it just his imagination?
