Well, he’s continuing to break records: according to Billboard, the latest news is that The Weeknd is the top musical act in the U.S. and tops Billboard Artist 100 Chart for the 10th week. He also broke the global record for first-week streams on Spotify with more than 223 million streams. The superstar is also the first artist to pass the 40 million monthly listeners mark on Spotify.
The Weeknd’s year could rap up with having the third-largest debut album of the year with Starboy, behind only Drake’s Views (1.04 million units sold) and Beyonce’s Lemonade (653,000).
