According to Deadline, “Surviving Compton” drew around 2.3 million total viewers Saturday night and was cable’s top non-sports telecast in total viewers.
The made-for-TV movie was the No. 1 program among adults 18-49 (1.1M), adults 25-54 (1.2M), women 25-54 (934K) and women 18-49 (836K).
Even the hour-long special “Beyond The Headlines: Michel’le,” which followed the premiere airing of the movie, averaged 1.9 million total viewers, retaining 83% of the viewers who watched “Surviving Compton.”
The movie even broke social media as the most talked about TV program on Twitter and Facebook that day, with 216,000 people generating 506,000 interactions.
