I think it’s safe to say that R&B will have a strong Fall 2016! Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, and Solange are all prepping new music for release soon…
With Mariah, not only is she appearing in her E! docu-series Mariah’s World (premiere on Dec. 4th), but also the third season of “Empire.” And, according to her Empire so-star Jussie Smollett, she’s also repping new music as a part of their duet on the show!

Alicia Keys is another R&B songstress who’s dropping new tunes. At the 2016 Apple Music Festival in London, Keys debuted a new “She Don’t Really Care.” Take a listen below; with the hip-hop boom bap and Keys’ story-teller lyrics, it sounds like she’s giving us Alicia circa 2001!
Alicia has been talking up her next album for a while now, and it should be out in coming months.
Solange is also coming back on the music scene, teasing new music cryptic-style rollout. She’s uploaded mind-bending content to her new website and IG account where fans can sign up for a mysterious event where “seats have been reserved.”
The video below has surfaced of what sounds like a soulful, new song from Solo and a clip of a forthcoming video.
Whatever project she’s cooking up, it follows her 2012 EP True.
