Late last week, it was reported that the official tribute to Prince curated by his estate and family would take place on Oct 13th at the at Xcel Energy Center, and it’s sold out already!
The Star Tribune reports that tickets went on sale yesterday (Sept 19th) and sold out in a matter of minutes.
Plans for the tribute concert were first geared towards the U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis., but was changed to the Xcel Energy Center “to better handle the costs and quality and sound and production.”
Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Chaka Khan, John Mayer and Tori Kelly are among those to perform.
