It’s been eight ears since Jennifer Hudson’s mother Darnell, nephew Julian, and brother Jason were brutally killed, and yesterday, on the singer’s 35th birthday, Hudson paid homage to her late mother.
The singer posted a photo of herself with a photo of her mother as a young woman, and the resemblance is uncanny! “My bday look was inspired by my absolute favorite pic of my mom ! Dolls, doll ! She would have said my baby, my baby is 35 now!” she captioned:
The estranged husband of Hudson’s sister Julia, William Barfour, was sentenced to three life sentences for the murders. Since then J-Hud has honored her nephew Julian with the Julian D. King Foundation and Hatch Day, an event that takes place on his birthday Aug 14th and provides students with school supplies.
