Singersroom presents Portland, Oregon soul siren/songwriter Joyya Marie and the video for her single “Carousel.”
Much like the amusement park thrill ride, the video showcases the emotional high and low points that occur as you go ’round and ’round in a relationship, to only end in the same point you started when it’s all done.
The clip starts off with Joyya standing in her bedroom looking at pictures of her happy relationship. The couple’s happy moments are short lived as the boyfriend is often found absent both emotionally and physically. She begins cleaning out what memories remain by the videos end.
“Carousel” will be featured on Joyya’s debut album Some Kind of Love set to be released on August 30th.
