If you’ve been on social media lately, the newest “challenge” is the #SoGoneChallenge in which people rap over the track for Monica’s 2003 Miss Elliott-produced hit “So Gone.”
Many have accepted the challenge, but the originals have clapped back in their own way; Monica and Missy hit up the studio to record their #SoGoneChallenge and filmed a 1-minute clip which Monica posted on her Twitter page.
Monica spits a verse on the original, but she reprised it with some fire bars here!
“Heard it was a So Gone Challenge, man, I said no way! / Song still bang like we in 2003,” she rhymes as Missy dances in the background, her back turned to the camera.
