Last December, Victor Jackson teamed up with Algebra Blessett for a soulful rendition of the holiday classic, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” He also drew inspiration from the musical The Wiz in his “Bus Of Love” visual. Now he’s back with his solo project Three Decades.
Three Decades is the debut EP from Jackson who made a name for himself as a choreographer and creative director for acts like Jennifer Hudson, August Alsina, and Iggy Azalea. You might even remember him from guest appearances with Kandi Burruss on The Real Housewives of Atlanta or Trina Braxton on Braxton Family Values.
Though dance became his bread and butter for quite some time, music has always been his first love. After a 7-year hiatus following the passing of his younger brother, Victor gathered a collective of Atlanta-based producers to craft this five-song collection that speaks to the universality of love. With all songs on the EP written by Jackson, the common themes of matters of the heart ring true throughout this project fusing influences of R&B, Soul, Gospel, and even a little musical theater.
