Brandy is taking a page from the late Prince to rebel against her label Chameleon Entertainment.
A few months ago, the singer filed a lawsuit against the label claiming they’re restricting her from releasing new music.
Chameleon Label CEO, Breyon Prescott, has since addressed her lawsuit, claiming she’s playing the victim and creating drama to create publicity.
Now yesterday (July 18), Page Six reports that the singer filed papers quoting Prince, saying “record contracts are just like . . . slavery.”
In 1992, Prince famously wrote the word “slave” on his right cheek to protest against his label Warner Bros. to advocate artists owning their masters.
