Maxwell is REALLY gearing up to drop his blackSUMMERS’night album on Friday, July 1st; he’s already released lyric videos for “All The Ways Love Can Feel,” “Gods,” “Lake By The Ocean” and “1990X.” Now he’s back with another stream called “Fingers Crossed,” another track from the LP.
“They can tell you anything to change your mind / There’s no mystery, and you’re not blind / Fingers crossed, you’ll make the choice, to make you mine,” he croons over what sound like real instrumentation.
On Sunday, he paid tribute to Prince at the 2016 BET Awards, along with his main single “Lake By The Ocean.”
Maxwell is currently on a 25-date tour, including a headlining slot at the 2016 Essence Festival this weekend.
