Earlier this month, it was reported that Janelle Monae, Alicia Keys, D’Angelo, Maxwell, Sheila E, and The Roots would be paying tribute to Prince at the 2016 BET Awards. Now it’s been confirmed that Stevie Wonder has been added to the lineup.
Stevie was a part of the Billboard Awards’ Prince tribute last month with Madonna, which endured some scathing reviews. BET promised to do a better job with tributing Prince, so we’ll see what they have planned!
In other BET Awards news, a tribute to Muhammad Ali (who passed away on June 3rd) has been added to the show, as well.
