2016 has been a rough year for Rita Ora…until now.
The British starlet has signed to Atlantic Records for a worldwide recording contract that will allow her to release new music this year.
“Music is my first love, and I am looking forward to getting my new songs released,” said Ora in a statement. “I’m thankful to my new Atlantic Records family for all their support and encouragement. The next chapter is going to be incredible.”
Back at the beginning of the year, she sued her label Roc Nation for neglecting to put out her sophomore album and U.S. debut, accusing them of focusing more on other acts such as Rihanna.
Roc Nation countersued, claiming Rita never fulfilled her part of the contract to produce a second album. They ended up settling out of court.
Which brings us to now; it sounds like Rita is prepping to show the U.S. just who she is, once and for all. Let’s see what she has cooking up in coming months!
