In March, Marsha Ambrosius’ cover of late reggae artist Dennis Brown’s “Have You Ever” dropped from the tribute album, We Remember Dennis Brown (which arrive earlier this month), now the official video has arrived.
In the clip, Marsha patrons a record store (remember those?), perusing rows and rows of vinyl, but she finds more than music at this particular store.
“Dennis Brown and reggae music makes me reminisce, my fond memories of growing up in London when reggae music was and still is prominent. ‘Have You Ever’ is one of those songs you remember!,” Ambrosius says about the song. “I can still smell the food my mother was cooking, I can hear the vacuum cleaner early hours on a Saturday morning, British pirate radio stations always playing The Crown Prince of Reggae!”
