From her latest EP Jerk Sauce, Miami-based singer/songwriter Sade Serena drops the video for the set’s first offering “Dum.”
Produced by Grammy-nominated producer James Farmer (a.k.a J-Vibe), “Dum” is a summery, uptempo female anthem heavily influenced by her Caribbean heritage. Over a light reggae tinge, Sade brings out the truth to her lover: he’s not the only one getting played.
The clip plays out the context of the song, with Sade getting out and about after brushing off some IG pics of her man in the club with other women.
“I don’t really are who you lovin’ / as long as you wear a wrapper / I know that we’re just having some fun / You can do what you want to …/ You know you’re not the only one / You must think that I’m dumb,” she sings on the first verse.
