The song is rhythmic and soulful, her voice alluring. The clip is intriguing and colorful and with male dancers in tribal paint as they gyrate with intense stares. Aaradhna highlights both her Indian and South Pacific heritage, adorned with henna tattoos.
Brown Girl is produced entirely by Jeff Dynamite of Brooklyn-based Truth & Soul Records (Aloe Blacc, Adele, Lady, Lee Fields & The Expressions), and is about people trying to put you in a box, when there’s more to you than meets the eye. The allbum will cover a broad musical landscape including mixed genres of R&B/Soul/Country/Blues & Pop.
