It’s been announced that Alicia Keys, Janelle Monae, The Roots, D’Angelo, Sheila E, and Maxwell are confirmed as performing for the Prince tribute at the 2016 BET Awards on June 26th. The lineup sounds like all the artists fans suggested for the Billboard tribute!
Prince received the BET Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010 (photo above).
The 2016 BET Awards will be hosted by “Black-ish” stars Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson, hosting for their second consecutive year.
