Back in March, The Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHF) announced they would induct Elvis Costello, Marvin Gaye, Tom Petty, Chic’s Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards, and Chip Taylor.
Now the SHF has revealed the who’s who of stars who will present and/or perform at the June 9th event. Stars such as Jennifer Hudson, Jussie Smollett, and 70s group Sister Sledge are confirmed to appear, along with The B-52s, James Corden, Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff, Roger McGuinn, Marcus Mumford, Rachel Platten, and Jon Voight. It’s unclear which of the planned guests will perform and which will present.
Along with the inductees, other honorees include Lionel Richie (Johnny Mercer Award), Nick Jonas (Hal David Starlight Award), and Seymour Stein (Howie Richmond Hitmaker Award).
