Last month, it was revealed that R&B singer Michel’le‘s life would be documented in a Lifetime movie called “The Michel’le Story.”Now some of the cast members have been announced.
Actress Rhyon Nicole Brown (above) has been cast to play the starring role as Michel’le. Brown has also starred in Lincoln Heights as Lizzie Sutton, That’s So Raven, Boston Public, and Everybody Loves Raymond.
“The Michel’le Story” will focus on how the singer was discovered by N.W.A’s Eazy-E and became a platinum artist on Ruthless Records. It will chronicle her six-year relationship with Dr. Dre., with whom she shares a son. She’s publicly spoken out about Dre’s his physical abuse and domestic violence, something the 2015 film Straight Outta Compton has been criticized for not showing.
Speaking of Straight Outta Compton, the role of Suge Knight will be reprised by R. Marcos Taylor, who starred at Knight in Compton, and Curtis Hamilton has been cast to portray Dr. Dre.
