Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, the visual tells the sweet, simple story of a couple’s love as they keep the romance despite a huge obstacle. This will definitely pull at your heartstrings!
This is the second video of Day’s to be crafted by an acclaimed filmmaker following Spike Lee’s direction of her debut video “Forever Mine.”
CocaCola and McDonald’s recently announced Day as part of their Rise Up ESSENCE® Festival program ahead of her perfromamce at the 2016 Essence Festival in New Orleans. The lyrics from “Rise Up” will appear on 40 million CocaCola cups in select McDonald’s restaurants across the nation and include a Shazam-powered portal into a digital experience where they can watch the “I Rise” short film starring Andra Day. Andra Day will grace the cover of ESSENCE Magazine’s June issue.
