Last night (April 7), the final season of “American Idol” went down at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, and almost all of the past seasons contestants returned to pay homage to the show that gave them a chance or propelled them to stardom.
Season 3 contestants Fantasia Barrino, Jennifer Hudson, and LaToya London all reunited to sing as the “Three Divas.” Singing “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” Hudson, Fantasia, and London harmonized the Simon & Garfunkel tune. Then Hudson stayed on stage to sing “Remember the Music” off the Empire Season 1 soundtrack.
“I chose to sing my song” Remember the music” from empire for American Idol finale, as that’s what has carried me,” Hudson tweeted. A few minutes later, Fantasia re-entered the stage to singe her new country single “Ugly.”
