Yesterday morning (March 29), K. Michelle visited Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club to promote her new album More Issues Than Vogue, her VH1 show “My Life”, and to address many other rumors she just can’t seem to shake.
Fresh out the gate, Michelle addresses the soundbite that recorded her saying that Beyonce’s album was going to drop on Friday (March 25). As we all know, it didn’t, and Michelle cleared up she was a fan of Bey as well, and heard through the grapevine like everyone else online that Bey could be dropping an album soon, along with her manager’s connection with Bey’s manager. “I said ‘might.’…I ain’t say nothing bad, and I was waiting on the album, too,” she said.
Michelle even addressed Maino and Uncle Murda’s comments during their BC Interview where they claimed the singer has a certain “body odor.” Michelle brushed off the ignorant comments, but called out host Angela Yee for chiming in with Maino and Murda. Throughout the 32-minute interview, tensions were high between the two, with Michelle calling out Yee’s position as a woman in journalism to perpetuate the rumor.
“You being a woman, and you see me out here, you brought that back up,” Michelle said to Yee. “You had already addressed that, there was no need to open your mouth…you sat there and chuckled, and you don’t know what that might have doesn’t to me…At the end of the day, you brought that up, and I ain’t f*cking with you for that, so let’s move on.”
Dang!
About the album, More Issues Than Vogue, Michelle explains the title comes from her search for fulfilment on the outside (i.e. plastic surgery, body enhancements,) but real issues need to be fixed on the inside first. “I got all this surgery thinking it was gonna make me feel great about everything…the happiness can’t come from that, but when you go home alone, you still gotta deal with issues, and plastic surgery doesn’t cover up the inside, there’s no doctor that can fix that.”
