Both Rihanna and Gladys Knight will be recognized next month during the Black Girls Rock! Awards to air on BET.
The ceremony will be taped on April 1st at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and will honor Rihanna with the Rock Star Award, and Knight with the Living Legend Award.
Other honorees include TV producer/writer Shonda Rhimes who will receive the Shot Caller Award, “The Walking Dead” actress Danai Gurira with the Star Power Award, actress/activist Amandla Stenberg with the Young, Gifted and Black Award, and the Black Lives Matter founders Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi.
The show will be hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and air on BET on April 5th at 8 pm E.T.
