Jacob Latimore channels his inner James Brown/Michael Jackson as he takes us back to the 70s in his “Remember Me” music video. Directed by PhillyFlyBoy, in the clip, the multi-talented entertainer is joined by his crew as they unleash an arsenal of dance moves. The visual also serves as a memory piece for a married couple, who has been together for 40 years, but the wife has Alzheimers and can’t remember how their love came about.
“Remember Me,” produced by Mel & Mus (Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj), follows his previously released single “Climb,” both from Jacob’s upcoming EP, which is slated for later this year.
Ever since going indie, it seems Jacob has hit his stride; he’s rising on the charts and feeling confident in what’s to come. “I feel like a new artist, I am 19 years old, I found my pocket, I’m recording some great records!” he says. “I fell in love with ‘Remember Me’ because it felt timeless, from the melodies to the lyrics, if Mike [Jackson] was alive I believe he would love it. When Beyonce hears it, she’s going to love it too, lol! Anybody that loves “good” music will understand what I’m saying when they hear this.”
We love it too Jacob!
In related news, Latimore recently landed a pivotal role in the upcoming movie Collateral Beauty with an all-star cast including Will Smith, Kate Winslet and Helen Mirren.
