“Side-chick” culture may be popular right now, but rising crooner JR Castro wants to bring back the times in R&B music when it was cool to sing to one woman..YOU!
And that’s not just the title for his upcoming EP, either! Before the release of You, Castro plans to keep serenading the streets and the ladies with compilation project called Songs You Were Made To.
Reworked with his smooth R&B style, watch JR Castro’s sit-down with Chris Style’s from Sirius XM’s The Heat to perform his rendition of Ready For The World’s “Let Me Love You Down.”
He also discussed why he’s going against the grain and only chooses to sing to one woman: “I just wanted to get back to the core essence of R&B and sing it to that one girl and making her feel special and making her feel like ‘Ok I can be vulnerable with this guy and I know he’s got me.’ Thats my whole mission on this whole journey is to make women feel special again.”
Also check out his previously releases “Get Home” ft. Kid Ink & Quavo, “FMN,” “M.O.B” featuring Pusha T, and “Never Be The Same.” You will feature production by The Audibles, Timbaland, and Da Internz, and welcome appearances by YG, Pusha T, Sevyn Streeter, Terrace Martin, Kid Ink, Quavo and writing partner, Poo Bear.
