Following his single “Want Some,” Akon aims to “Shine The Light” on good vibes with his newest song and video.
The song is void of heavy bass and instrumentation as Akon sings over a steady, tribal drum beat about highlighting only one woman in his life. “I don’t care about the other girl, I just want to be with you… / Shine the light on me,” he sings.
The clip features Akon as he and his lady wonder off from a glamorous white mansion party into the forest to enjoy some romantic couple time.
Akon is gearing up for a five-disc album called Stadium. Reportedly, each disc of Stadium will be geared to a different genre of music: Pop, Urban, Euro, Island, and World.
