BJ The Chicago Kid odes his musical kindred soul, D’Angelo, on new three-track EP in honor of the 16th anniversary of D’Angelo’s mega 2000 hit "Untitled (How Does It Feel)."
Along with a unique cover of "Untitled,” the set also features two more D’Angelo joints, "Always in my Hair" and "Send It On." BJ The Chicago Kid’s soulful wail has notoriously paralleled D’Angelo’s distinctive vocals, so this short project is welcomed and expected!
"His musicality is beyond this world," BJ The Chicago Kid said of D'Angelo in statement. "I had to celebrate his genius by paying homage to his legacy while he continues to kill the game and make great music. It's a new year and there's no better way to start it off than taking it back to where it all began for me. This is real soul/R&B."
The world is still awaiting BJ’s Motown debut album In My Mind set to arrive sometime this year.
