Last week, the Lifetime Network unveiled a snap of actress Lex Scott as Toni Braxton in the January 23rd-premiereing biopic Un-Break My Heart, which is based off of Braxton’s memoir. Now they’ve released a short trailer where you can briefly see Scott in motion as the sultry songstress.
Like the memoir, the movie will hit upon all aspects of Braxton’s life, including her bankruptcies, her divorce, her struggles with lupus, and raising her autistic son. The trailer shows Lex as Braxton in reflective moments, performing, and being rushed to the hospital.
Braxton is executive producing the project, and will also star in the film as herself. Her longtime collaborator and friend Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds is also behind the film’s production. Check out the trailer below.
Lifetime has a reputation with poor casting choices with half-hearted biopics in the past. After peeping the short trailer below, are you convinced yet that this will be good??
