Earlier this week, it was announced that Stitchers actress Tiffany Hines was cast to play Tamar Braxton in the Lifetime biopic Un-Break My Heart based off the memoir of Toni Braxton. Now the entire cast has been revealed.
Debbi Morgan (shown above, and known for her roles in “Power” and “All My Children”) will portray the Braxton family matriarch, Evelyn. “Guiding Light’s” Gavin Houston (above) will play Toni’s mentor and collaborator Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds. Cortney Scott Wright, Skye P. Marshall (“Public Morals”) and LaToya Franklyn will play Toni’s sisters Tracy, Towanda, and Trina respectively.
It was believed that Toni would be playing herself in the film, but as it turns out, 24-year-old actress/model Alexis “Lex" Scott-Davis will play the R&B siren. Davis just so happens to be the niece of producer Rico Love, and this will be her first major role. However, Toni will "guest star" in the film, as well as executive produce the project.
Lifetime has been heavily criticized in the past with how they cast their biopics. Hit the next button below to see photos of the cast. Do you think they did a good job with this one?
